Production of the Kia Soul EV is set to commence next month in South Korea. As Hyundai-Kia’s premier pure-electric export, it will soon be available in both the United States and Europe. Esteemed for its 92 miles of driving range, the Kia Soul offers a rapid charge time between 24 to 33 minutes, while a longer, more fulsome battery recharge takes approximately four hours.
In South Korea, the Soul EV’s pricing stands at around 42 million won, equivalent to approximately $39,400. However, with government subsidies, this cost is expected to reduce by about 50%, aligning closely with high-end gasoline models. Notably, Kia’s strategic goal is to achieve a global sales figure of 5,000 units. This target might increase with more states like California implementing zero-emission vehicle mandates.
